Your union is here to ensure that your rights are maintained, but you are an important part of that process. Knowledge is power, and the more you know the better you can inform us of any possible issues.
Get to know your MCCC Representatives. Each year, Unit Professionals at your institution elect or serve as Local Chapter representatives. A list of your representatives can be found here.
Becoming acquainted with the union leadership team on your campus is important. Local chapters hold regular meetings and introductory gatherings or trainings especially for new members. This is a great way to meet your colleagues and to become better acquainted with your contract and your rights as a member of the Union.
